Kaushik Shankar Das is making a movie named ‘Daphan’ based on a true incident. Popular actress Runa Khan is playing the role of Kulsum.
The shooting of the movie started in Kushtia in late 2022; Then in Dhaka. Recently, the entire team had another patchwork shoot in Kushtia. And the work will be completed only after two days of shooting. The director said that the entire work will be completed by next January. After that, ‘Daphan’ will be released in theaters at a convenient time.
Director Kaushik Shankar Das said, ‘Daphan is inspired by a true story. The story of a woman’s struggle will be seen in it. A story of overcoming all obstacles and moving forward. When I heard the story for the first time, I thought that I will make a movie about this incident, I will present the incident in front of the audience.
Runa Khan said, ‘When Kaushikada shared the story with me, I loved both the story and the character. I was looking forward to the character. Everyone did a great work. Kaushikada has done the job with maximum effort from his place of professionalism.’
The screenplay of the movie “Daphan “was written by Kaushik Shankar Das & Aurangzeb. Apart from Runa Khan, Saif Khan, Priyontee Urbee; Masud Mohiuddin and others have acted. Sabnam Faria will be seen in a special role.
