On the occasion of International Women’s Violence Prevention Party and Begum Rokeya Day-2022 celebration in Sharsha of Jessore with the theme “Sheikh Hasina’s Message, Equality of Women and Men”, an awarding ceremony was held for selected winners from Sharsha Upazila.
On Friday morning, the upazila administration and the upazila women’s affairs officer organized this event in the upazila administrative building meeting room.
In the event, Joyita women were awarded with the title of Bangladesh in pursuit of Joyita in 5 categories.
Upazila Women Affairs Officer Jahan-e-Gulshan Ara presided over as the chief guest, Sharsha Upazila Parishad Chairman Sirajul Haque Manju.
Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Farzana Islam, Women Vice Chairman Alea Ferdous, Upazila Social Service Officer Touhidur Islam and Joyita women from various unions of the upazila and local dignitaries were present as special guests.
