The Mymensingh District and Metropolitan Awami League committee has been announced to end all speculations.
Ehteshamul Alam, the president of the metropolitan committee, was elected as the president of the district committee and the former general secretary of the committee, Advocate Moazzem Hossain Babul, was re-elected as the general secretary.
Mohit Ur Rahman Shanto, the son of the former Minister of Religion, Principal Matiur Rahman, has been appointed as the President of Metropolitan Awami League.
District Awami League recently outgoing president Adv. Zahirul Haque Khoka has been made the president of the Central Awami League Advisory Board.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader announced this committee at the tri-annual conference of district and metropolitan Awami League organized at circuit house ground today Saturday (03 December 2022).
District Awami League President Advocate Zahirul Haque inaugurated the conference under the chairmanship of Obaidul Quader. Meanwhile, their supporters burst into cheers after the announcement of the committee.
The venue of the conference, Circuit House Maidan, Mymensingh, became loud with slogans. All in all, the conference ended in a festive and peaceful atmosphere.
