Air Astra started operating the flight

Dhaka: The country’s new private airline ‘Air Astra’ has started operating commercial flights from Thursday (November 24). Today, the first Air Astra flight 2A 441 from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport left for Cox’s Bazar with 100% passengers at 08:00 am.

Air Astra will operate 3 flights on Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka route and 2 flights on Dhaka-Chittagong-Dhaka route from today. Air Astra will operate flights on all domestic routes in phases. The minimum one-way fare from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar has been fixed at Tk 4800 and the minimum one-way fare from Dhaka to Chittagong has been fixed at Tk 3695.

Air Astra has already taken delivery of two ATR 72-600 aircraft to Dhaka and will take delivery of two more aircraft within this year. By 2023, Air Astra’s aircraft fleet will grow to 10. Made in France, the ATR 72-600 is a reliable aircraft with the most advanced turboprop technology in the world today. The comfortable cabin of the aircraft is designed to carry 70 passengers.
